Hi. It’s been a minute, huh? Testing…
I was not expecting this one. O_O When I got the email from Influenster saying that I was selected for the Kat Von D VoxBox, I was so excited! And thankfully I didn’t have to wait long before the package hit my mailbox. I have to say…they did a really good job with this one!
What’s in the box:

The Lock-it Concealer Creme comes in 21 different shades, so finding the right concealer shouldn’t be much of a problem. Thank you to Influenster for sending two shades to work with! It is a creamy concealer that was a breeze to blend out. I had no issues with blending using the Lock-it Edge Concealer Brush, although I think it might be easier (for me, at least) to use a blending sponge instead. It’s great for covering up blemishes, dark under eye circles, and for contouring! The company mentions the Hydra-Boost Complex, making this concealer nourishing and hydrating, which is not something that you usually hear being associated with a concealer. And once you put this on, that’s it. It is not moving! I wore it for a few hours, and it did not settle into any fine lines or creases. So far, so good. đ
Next up is the Lock-it Setting Powder.  I am so glad that this came in a translucent shade, because anything else has the potential to go really right…or really wrong. Play it safe with translucent, as that’s a color that everyone can use. This features what the company refers to as their Micro-Blurring Technology, diffusing pores and leaving your face “selfie ready.” That works for me! This loose powder is very lightweight, and I couldn’t feel it on my face at all when applying with the Lock-it Setting Powder Brush, which is honestly the softest brush that I’ve ever put my hands on! My goodness! It’s my new favorite brush. đ Application was smooth, my makeup was locked in, and I didn’t get that grey cast when taking photos with flash, which is also a plus. No looking ashy or chalky around here, thanks!
In all, I am in love with this VoxBox. Kat Von D makes great products, so I wasn’t surprised by the quality of the items above. In fact, one of my favorite lipsticks by her company is Homegirl. I have bought that one in multiples! If you have a chance to try any of the Lock-it products listed above, or any of the other products in the line, please drop by the comment section and let me know what you think of them!
*** I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
These are some of the things that have caught my eye this month:
Louis Vuitton Box It Bracelet (louisvuitton.com)
Louis Vuitton Keep It Twice Monogram Bracelet (louisvuitton.com)
Louis Vuitton Zippy Multicartes (louisvuitton.com)
MCM Berlin Series Crossbody (mcmworldwide.com)
MCM Berlin Tote (mcmworldwide.com)
And then, there was a bit of nostalgia. I am old enough to actually remember when Pan Am was in service, and I still have one of my Grampie’s Pan Am suitcases (still in fantastic condition) from way back when. It’s so much fun to see some of these retro items come back! Until you remember how old you are. *side eying life*
Pan Am Explorer Bag (ebags.com)
Pan Am Passport Cover (ebags.com)
Ray-Ban Aviator Gradient – Gold and Light Blue Gradient (ray-ban.com)
Giuseppe Zanotti Suede Wraparound Zipper Sandals in Military Green (photo is from saksfifthavenue.com, but the shoes are out of stock.)
I have been looking for these shoes everywhere, you hear me? EVERYWHERE! And every time that I found them online, they were either sold out, or they were on backorder until the end of time. That also applies to said websites’ in-store finders. They were nowhere to be found in my location.
Enter, Vegas.
First day there, I trucked it over to Fashion Show Mall, found a Foot Locker, and the rest was history. With the Superstar, it’s recommended that you go down half a size, but this is why you should try these on in person before buying them. I normally wear an 8. I got the last white and black pair in a 7, which fit okay, but looking back now, I probably could have tried to hold out for a 6 or a 6.5, because the 7 is still a bit big. So I went a full size down, but needed to go two sizes down instead. I’m assuming it’s all because of the way that the shoe is designed, because even though I can fit my feet into a 7.5 on occasion, it’s been a very long time since I could wear a 6. đ
Sizing issues aside, I love these shoes. They are super comfortable, easy to walk around in, and are cute to boot! I normally only own one pair of athletic shoes at a time, because as we all know, I truly live in high heels. đ But this is my second pair of adidas, after being a Nike girl for the majority of my life (great when you’re playing sports!), and I have to say that I really like the brand. I wouldn’t have hunted down these shoes if I didn’t, that’s for sure! đ
