I don’t have a ton of makeup, but I apparently had a lot more than I thought I did…hence the long video. Oops! 😀

Delivery from Hong Kong: Qeautybox!
I’d wanted to check out Qeautybox since it began, due to it being the brainchild of Queenie Chan, who you may know from YouTube as BeautyQQ. I’ve followed her channel for around seven years, and she’s always in a constant state of creativity, and has no problems with sharing what she does, and how she does it. Absolutely love her, love her energy, and also how nice of a person she is! She’s done plenty outside of YouTube, among which would be writing books, having a perfume line, and now…Qeautybox! It’s a box subscription service of sorts, but without the commitment. When new boxes are put together, you go to the website, order whichever box you’d like, and that’s it. You’re not locked down to a monthly subscription, or one where you have to remember to skip the month. Which is good, because some of us completely forget that we have the option to do that at times. *raises hand*
The Qeautybox that I ordered was one of the Travel boxes. The choices were the Airbus Box and the Boeing Box. I chose the Boeing. Included inside:
This clutch, y’all…this clutch. *heart eyes* It is a functional clutch purse, with a strap, and an extra pocket on the inside. Now, I cannot cram everything that I normally carry in my purse in this, because it would look quite bulky if I did, and I wouldn’t be able to zip it up. But you can still carry quite a bit in here! I love that it was designed to look like a credit card. Love!
This “passport” is super cute as well! There are even stickers (“stamps”) inside to mark all of your Qeautyland travels. 😉 The luggage tag was a nice addition, especially as I was in need of a new one. 😀 The colors! *sparkles*
Above is the Best Sample Kit from CNP Laboratory, and the Jojo Azulene Mask.
The CNP Laboratory sample kit included one use of the Anti-Pore Blackhead Clear Kit, and I don’t get blackheads, but my pores clog very easily. I tried this kit (used the masks and the tools above), and the pores on my nose were cleared right out! It gives almost the same effect as the nose strips do, but far less painful, and is far more gentle on the skin. This is a product that I would like to use again.
The kit also included three samples each of the Invisible Peeling Booster (removes dead skin cells, revives and brightens skin – I have not tried this one yet), the Propolis Energy Ampule (kept my skin moisturized overnight), and the Mugener Ampule (did not see much of a difference, but it’s for irritated skin, and my skin wasn’t irritated, so…).
The JOJO mask was nice. There is a moisture booster essence (upper right corner of the package) that you put on first, and then you apply the sheet mask. The mask was moisturizing, but I did not see much of a difference in my skin with this one. It was relaxing, though, and it will always get points for that. I love sheet masks. I really do. I need to start a collection. *thinking and plotting*
The next three products were the Betadine Feminine Wash (self-explanatory – I haven’t used this product), Nature’s Unicellular Toning Water (used after cleansing to help hydrate skin – I’m ready to try this, but am waiting to, as I am almost finished with a micellar water that I’ve been using), and iS Clinical Cleansing Complex (deep cleanser – I really like this one. My face felt super clean after using it!).
NudeStix Lip/Cheek Pencil in Ripe. It doesn’t work for me as a lip color, but I can use it on my cheeks as a blush, heeeeeey! I love the container that it comes in, and it also comes with a sharpener. The company was thinking about us when they put that in there. Had to be. I mean, seriously, who doesn’t need an extra sharpener? 😀
This is a Korean Ginseng Berry Tea (link here), which is supposed to be good for immune system health, fatigue, and memory. All I know is that it tasted good. 😀
This FLOXIA Regenerating and Redness Control Cream was really nice. I don’t have much of an issue with redness, but the cream was very moisturizing. I got about four uses out of the sample, and used it at night. My skin was still moisturized and bright when I woke up, so this one gets the seal of approval based on that alone!
This is the Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel, and is a soap-free formula for face and body. Avène is one of my favorite brands, and I wish that it were easier for me to get my hands on it locally, or to get some of the company’s products that are available in other countries, but not in the United States. One of my favorite cleansing waters from the brand comes to mind, and I cannot get it here in the States, but I digress. *sighs* I have not tried this Cleansing Gel yet, as I’m trying to get through some other cleansing products at the moment. But trust and believe that I’m excited to try it! Again, I love the brand, as their products have always worked well with my skin.
This one made me smile, because I’d just returned from a trip where THANN products were made available in my room (thank you, Marriott!). I was telling myself that I should have grabbed a few more of the products when housekeeping came by and asked me if I needed anything…and then asked me if I wanted more products! Why did I say no?!? *laughs* But I came home and got this Qeautybox in the mail, having already forgotten what was inside. So when I pulled this out of the package, all I could do was giggle! This is the Rice Extract Body Milk from THANN. It doesn’t say which collection it’s a part of, but I’m going to assume it’s part of the Aromatic Wood collection (there’s also Oriental Essence and Jasmine Blossom), because it smells just like the products at the hotel, and they were the Aromatic Wood collection. It’s kind of a woodsy citrus scent, if that makes any sense. Orange and tangerine oils, and all of that yumminess.
There was also a card included in the Qeautybox for use with Y5Buddy Pocket WiFi Egg rentals. It’s only good for a specific set of countries, and is good for two free days of the rental service. I’ve never tried to use a service like this one, but it has always interested me. I might have to try it the next time I’m overseas, if it’s available wherever it is that I land. This particular card is only good until November 1st of this year, and I have no set travel plans for the rest of this year, so unfortunately I won’t be using this one. But it’s a great idea!
So that was it for my Qeautybox! As far as the price goes, each box is different. The Boeing Box ships from Hong Kong and costs HK $198.00, which for me came out to be around $37 USD (with shipping). It’s pretty affordable, and you get to try out some things that may not be readily available in your country. Which is good, because…being exposed to new things! But maybe not so good if you really love the product! Which is why it’s nice to be able to order from overseas. 🙂 If you’ve ever tried out Qeautybox, let me know how you liked it in the comment section below! 🙂
Influenster: Kat Von D VoxBox
I was not expecting this one. O_O When I got the email from Influenster saying that I was selected for the Kat Von D VoxBox, I was so excited! And thankfully I didn’t have to wait long before the package hit my mailbox. I have to say…they did a really good job with this one!
What’s in the box:
- Lock-it Concealer Creme x 2 – one in Deep 31 Warm, and one in Deep 37 Warm ($26.00 each)
- Lock-it Setting Powder in Translucent ($30.00)
- Lock-it Concealer Brush ($24.00)
- Lock-it Setting Powder Brush ($38.00)
* prices are from Sephora.com
The Lock-it Concealer Creme comes in 21 different shades, so finding the right concealer shouldn’t be much of a problem. Thank you to Influenster for sending two shades to work with! It is a creamy concealer that was a breeze to blend out. I had no issues with blending using the Lock-it Edge Concealer Brush, although I think it might be easier (for me, at least) to use a blending sponge instead. It’s great for covering up blemishes, dark under eye circles, and for contouring! The company mentions the Hydra-Boost Complex, making this concealer nourishing and hydrating, which is not something that you usually hear being associated with a concealer. And once you put this on, that’s it. It is not moving! I wore it for a few hours, and it did not settle into any fine lines or creases. So far, so good. 🙂
Next up is the Lock-it Setting Powder.  I am so glad that this came in a translucent shade, because anything else has the potential to go really right…or really wrong. Play it safe with translucent, as that’s a color that everyone can use. This features what the company refers to as their Micro-Blurring Technology, diffusing pores and leaving your face “selfie ready.” That works for me! This loose powder is very lightweight, and I couldn’t feel it on my face at all when applying with the Lock-it Setting Powder Brush, which is honestly the softest brush that I’ve ever put my hands on! My goodness! It’s my new favorite brush. 🙂 Application was smooth, my makeup was locked in, and I didn’t get that grey cast when taking photos with flash, which is also a plus. No looking ashy or chalky around here, thanks!
In all, I am in love with this VoxBox. Kat Von D makes great products, so I wasn’t surprised by the quality of the items above. In fact, one of my favorite lipsticks by her company is Homegirl. I have bought that one in multiples! If you have a chance to try any of the Lock-it products listed above, or any of the other products in the line, please drop by the comment section and let me know what you think of them!
*** I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
Coloured Raine – Cherry Blossom & Roulette
Some of you may already know this, but one of my favorite liquid lipstick companies out there right now is one by the name of Coloured Raine. I love their Matte Lip Paints so much that I’m always recommending them to friends, family, and random strangers who will bother to listen! Granted, that last one usually happens when someone compliments me on the color that I’m wearing. I want everyone to try it! I want everyone to win!!! 🙂
The two matte colors that I currently own are Cherry Blossom and Roulette:

Cherry Blossom

Roulette

Cherry Blossom on left, Roulette on right
Cherry Blossom is the blue-based red that I’ve been trying to find for years! It’s absolutely gorgeous, and if reds that are blue-based look good on you, I’d strongly suggest that you try this one out. It also applies easily, and I did not have any problems with streakiness in the color.

And while Cherry Blossom is one of my faves, it’s Roulette and its purple undertones that get all of the attention! People seem to really like this color, as I get compliments on it every time that I wear it. In fact, I keep a backup of this one, just so I won’t be without it when one runs out! 😀 The first time that I bought it, it was actually a little streaky. I would prefer to only wear one layer of the lipstick, but with that one, I would always have to wear two in order to cover up the streakiness. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad, but I’m a little funny about my lipstick. It just wasn’t covering to my liking. The second tube, however, was perfect. No streaks, and the color applied like butter.

As with other matte liquid lipsticks, neither of these lip colors budged, as long as nothing with even the tiniest bit of oil touched the lips. I learned quickly that eating while wearing these colors probably wasn’t the best of ideas. Drinking posed no issues, though. No lip color left on glasses or bottles, which was a plus. Removal of the color was pretty easy, as long as I used an oil-based remover, or actual oil (olive, coconut, argan, maracuja, they all worked). Another way to remove them would be with makeup remover wipes, but just remember that all makeup remover wipes are not created equally. The best one that I’ve found so far with regard to removing matte liquid lipstick would be either the Neutrogena makeup removal wipes, or the Walmart version of the Neutrogena wipes (the Equate brand is almost an exact dupe – save money!).
Coloured Raine Matte Lip Paints run for $17.00, and can be found on colouredraine.com, on rickysnyc.com, and in Ricky’s NYC stores as well.
If you’ve tried the liquid lipsticks from Coloured Raine, or are planning to at some point, please share your thoughts here! I’d love to know what you think about them! 🙂
