In the Mail: JLUXLABEL

I haven’t bought much of anything lately, for some odd reason, but every time I saw this dress on JLUXLABEL’s website, when I would finally make the decision to buy it, it would be GONE! I swear that’s the story of my life, because I just had this issue with Coloured Raine a few days ago (oh, I WILL have Cherry Blossom and Roulette in my life, dangit!)! But it was finally on the website again as of a few days ago. The clouds parted, and the sun shone down on my wallet, giving it permission to release those funds so I could buy this dress! Currently waiting on a shipping notification. 🙂

Etsy Finds: Merry Early Christmas?

Etsy and I are friends. We really are. But sometimes I look at it and wonder why it must tempt me so. Like, why are you trying to take all of my money, huh? HUH? Of course, that means that I’ve come across a few things that I really want…but don’t necessarily want to pay that much for. Right now.

*all photos are from Etsy.com

1) Stretch Silk Camisole and Pajama Pants ($72 and $98 respectively) – They just look so silky! I want. I waaaaant!

2) Patina Cuff Bracelet ($179.31) – It’s beautiful! It’s just beautiful. 🙂

3) Black Trenchcoat with Leather ($254) – It’s getting cold again, and this would be a perfect addition to the wardrobe…

4) Classic Black Jacket with Leather ($129) – I need to stop playing and buy this. I’ve wanted it for a year or two now, and keep procrastinating. No more. This will definitely be my Christmas present to myself. 😉

5) Vintage New & Old Jewelry Phone Case ($495) – This is so gorgeous, and is exactly what I have been looking for! But I am not paying that much for a cell phone cover. I could absolutely understand if it is all fine jewelry, and it’s probably a bit of a mix, but the phone itself costs around that much. No. If the price ends up being lowered, though… 😉

What’s calling out to you on Etsy these days? What items keep threatening to empty out your wallet with no apologies?

Marshalls Was Calling My Name

*not a sponsored post

Okay, that’s it. My wallet is now on ice!

*crickets*

Not really. But it sounded good!

Went shopping on Saturday, and spent a little while in Marshalls, because hey, why not. I bought two dresses that I maybe needed, and two purses that I definitely didn’t need, but that’s never stopped me before! 😀

1) Dress from Laundry by Shelli Segal – Originally $155.00 (original tag is on the dress!), I paid $39.99.

Total original price: $469.00

Total paid (before tax): $159.96

Total saved: $309.04

Random, but not: I have been questioning Marshalls’ “Original” cost on their tags for some time now. On their tags, sometimes the original price quoted is actually far less than what the item actually sold for originally. For instance, the “original price” on the Marshalls tag on the Laundry dress was $68.00, even though the original tag clearly says $155.00. I would think that people would feel like they got even more of a deal if they knew how much the items really cost before they hit Marshalls, but really, what do I know? I’m not sure what the marketing strategy is here, but if anyone has any insight as to why they do this, please leave a comment and fill me in! 🙂

Shopping of the online variety…

Okay, so why has it taken me so long to hear about nomorerack.com? Now, this is not a sponsored post by any means, but dangit, y’all…go buy some things! Not all the things, but some of the things. At a nicely discounted price. When I signed up, they sent a $10 promotional offer like some of the other sites do in order to get you to make your first purchase. Did I use it? Of course I did! That’s $10 that I didn’t have to pay! 😉 I purchased three items, which came out to $58 after the promotional deal, and a total savings of $136.98.

Now, because I’m skeptical at times, I looked up the price of each item at other outlets, including the official website for one of the items in particular, and they pretty much matched up with what nomorerack said were the original prices of the items. That’s a plus as far as I’m concerned. Now, will I do that from here on out when I purchase from them? Probably, just to make sure that I’m actually getting it for a good price, or to make sure that it can’t be purchased for less elsewhere!

What did I buy?

100% Cotton V-Neck Button Down Cardigan in Oatmeal – $39.99 retail, paid $8.00. A little on the thin side, but it was what I was looking for!

106800-3-rg

Lyss Loo Striped Dolman Sleeve Top – $39.99 retail, paid $11.00. Ready to wear this…the material feels nice, and it’s a little stretchy, which is always a plus!

Earth Unisex Culm Organic Wood Watch in Khaki – $125 retail, paid $49.00. Love this. My wrists are really small, so I’ll have to get several of the links taken out, but it’s lovely.
