Well hello there! It’s been a minute, yes? *le sigh* I know, I know. On to today’s goodness!
A few products were sent to me by Physicians Formula for review, and they came totally by surprise! I was not expecting a package from UPS, but I was excited because, hey, I like getting packages in the mail! Don’t we all? π I received the Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting BB Bronzer SPF 20 and the Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting BB Bronzing Cream SPF 20.
Say that three times fast. And the award for the longest product names goes to…lol! I really don’t mind, though, it does stand out from other product names. Because it’s a tongue twister. π
The only con that I can find is that the color that I received…was not the right color for me. They sent both products in “Light to Medium,” and I should be using “Medium to Dark.” I can still use the bronzer, but the bronzing cream is a no-no.
First up: Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting BB Bronzing Cream SPF 20.
This BB cream bronzer is advertised as having a creamy formula that will give you a sun-kissed look, plus the “mistake-proof formula” will provide flawless coverage. It also says that it will go on smoothly. I have to agree with this. When I put it on, it glided onto my skin, spread evenly with no streaks, and it felt pretty wonderful! Again, the only issue that I have is with the color. I tried it again later and used less product, and it actually seemed to blend into my skin. Looking at it in natural light, it was just like having a light moisturizer on, if that makes any sense. I did not photograph it with flash, though, and I’m sure that it would have been quite visible if I had.
Next: Physicians Formula Bronze Booster Glow-Boosting BB Bronzer SPF 20.
This buildable bronzer one is advertised as a BB cream with a bronzing powder finish. It has the same “mistake-proof” claim, and it is said to combine antioxidants with SPF in order to protect skin, improve its clarity, and give a healthy, lasting glow.
Looking at it, I really thought that it was going to be a no-go as well, but honestly, it turned out just fine color-wise. You can’t really tell that it’s Light to Medium when you put it on. I still believe that the Medium to Dark is the option that I need, because…yeah. lol! But this one is totally useable. π The application was smooth, and it didn’t settle into any of the fine lines that I may or may not have. π
In all, I really liked both formulas, and I will definitely try them again…in the appropriate color for my skin. π These products are hypoallergenic, fragrance free, gluten free, paraben free, oil free, non-comedogenic, and are dermatologist approved. That was a mouthful! Both products retail for $14.95, and can be foundΒ at drug stores and mass-market stores such as Walmart, Target, etc. If you try them out, please let me know what you think!
