Food Post! Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts!

I came across this recipe a few days ago, and decided that I needed to make it as soon as possible.

That day is today. 😉

This is from Rock Recipes (lots of good stuff to try here!), and it is most definitely a tasty one! Follow their recipe as shown here: Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts. Let me know what you think! 🙂

BzzAgent Stuff – Smooth ‘N Shine Keratin Power Semi Permanent Hair Tamer?

So the Smooth ‘N Shine Keratin Power Semi Permanent Hair Tamer (Regular strength) came in the mail yesterday (thanks to BzzAgent!), and I tore open the box and got right down to business! This is supposed to “tame” your hair inbetween relaxers, and will wash out in 5 washes, or will last for 6 weeks. For reference, I have fine hair, but it’s really dense. So my strands are fine, but I actually have a ton of hair. I have surprised many a stylist upon taking my hair out of the bun. They had more work to do than they thought! 🙂

Per the instructions, I shampooed my hair twice, and then followed the instructions completely. I like the fact that there is no mixing when it comes to this product. Everything that you need is in two separate bottles for this two step treatment. Also, make sure that you wear the gloves. Please. Just trust me on this. 😉 Once the second part of the tamer was fully rinsed out, I towel dried my hair, grabbed the wide toothed comb, and detangled my hair before using the blow dryer. Now, I was expecting my hair to be soft during this step, but I was wrong. It wasn’t dried out, but it just felt…different. And not necessarily in a good way. But after the drying and the flat ironing? Very dry hair, which I am not used to. At all. I told myself that I would give it a shot, and wait the recommended three days before washing it again.

I didn’t even last 24 hours.

My hair was dry, and there was a lot more breakage than usual. So at the end of the day, when I couldn’t take it anymore, I re-washed, and since I’m out of Porosity Control, I put a deep conditioner in my hair and kept it in for an hour. It feels a lot better now, and my hair is thanking me for not waiting. I am sure that this product will work well for plenty of people, but I just am not one of them. Maybe it’s because my hair is fine (I used the Regular formula), or maybe this just wasn’t for me, I don’t know. But I do hope that others that are trying this product out have a much better experience. 🙂

And…

Pardon the dust. Playing around with different themes, so you’ll probably see something different every few days. So much fun! 😀

Summer Challenge…?

It’s been a minute, I knooooooow! 😦 I have a few projects that I’m working on now, and lots of ideas and all of that fun stuff. I’m just having a hard time when it comes to making sure that the blog is updated. I will do better, I promise. (((hugs for everyone!)))

I have decided to do a little Summer challenge – I’m not going to buy any clothing beyond the basics. *gasps* I know, right? If I don’t make it or it isn’t already in my closet, then I’m not wearing it. I plan to do this until the end of the season, but we’ll see if I can make it that far.

Start date: June 20, 2012.

Pray for me. *slowly walks away*
